Baby Grand... Oh Yea!

I've always wanted a baby grand piano. I don't play, but I'm learning! And, so is my 8-year daughter. I'm so proud of her and how engaged she is in reading music, following the teacher's instruction, and overall, having a great time learning. Lessons all Summer. A little break. Then lessons start up again in the early Fall. Ashley will learn at least 30 songs this year!

Our 'new' piano is a relic. An oldie, but goodie. I absolutely love it! Manufactured in 1867 right in East Rochester!

We took it all apart, with the professional assistance of my cousin Michael who removed the keyboard, cleaned the strings, and tuned to perfection. We took the keyboard outside for a little over 5 minutes and used the air-compressor to remove the dust particles. The keys are ivory. The instrument plays beautifully.

"When I Fall In Love..."

I'm teaching myself to play, "When I Fall In Love." That's 'our' song from our wedding day! I'll be ready to play by our next anniversary my K.I.S.A.!
